The Buckeye Baby Shower was an absolute blast! My dear friends Liz , Steph and Wendy co-hosted a shower for me last weekend, keeping even the smallest details a secret. That, of course, drove me NUTS (pun intended) as I don't like surprises one bit.
Wendy originally told me to arrive at 1:15pm but knowing Liz, I had her make sure :). Liz suggested 1:45 and just KNEW that I'd be there at least 15 minutes ahead of time. I was trying to be a good little girl and wait out the time but mom insisted we go anyhow so 1:30pm it was.
The decor was decked out in true Buckeye fashion with lots of scarlet and gray. My taste buds started going CRAZY the minute we walked in the door - all of my favorite foods were prepared. A full out taco bar (which also included PICKLES - yeah for Wendy!!), black beans, taco dip, veggie pizza, veggies, chips and salsa, Buckeye bars, and the cutest Buckeye bootie cupcakes!
We mingled and then ate dinner. Immediately after dinner, Liz announced that instead of having a game (which we know I despise), everyone would have a hand in creating onesies, hats and bibs - way too cute!! Soon I began to open all of our fabulous gifts. We are so blessed to have all of our essentials now just awaiting her arrival.
Aunt Jennifer was again missed but there in spirit. She's recently brought to my attention that we will no longer need to outfit our little girl for the next year - Diana has a TON of clothes through 12 months. YEAH! I do have to brag that we have only purchased 2 outfits to date - one snow suit and one Thanksgiving outfit for next year.
For those that weren't able to make the party, I've embedded our pictures below, courtesy of photographer Liz. Thanks to everyone that could attend and especially to my hostesses and everyone else that helped in preparation and tear down - you're the best!

It looks like so much fun!! I can't wait to see more pics! But I have to say, that house looks extremely familiar... you weren't in Hilliard, by any chance. The coutertops are different, but it seriously may be the same builder or layout or SOMEthing! How funny.
I can't believe I had to be sick then, of all days. I just didn't want to risk making you that way too! So sorry I missed it, can't wait for the rest of the story!!
The shower was great! Love the teaser pictures... the girls did a fabulous job organizing it!!!
Had a wonderful time and loved all the decor and fun things. You have a fantastic close bunch of friends. You are blessed in many ways.
Love the pics. Your photographer is the best! Thank you for sharing a beautiful day.
